Greyhound Whitchurch Russ

The lease at the Greyhound in Whitchurch has recently been taken on a temporary basis by Keith and Sharon of the Royal Oak in Tilehurst. The PubCo wants the pub to remain open so Keith and Sharon have been tasked with breathing some life back into it. There will be a good selection of beers from the PubCo list which will change on a regular basis. Sharon and Keith are an experienced couple and have brought the Royal Oak round largely by the quality of the beer on offer. If they can?t turn the Greyhound around then possibly no-one can (under PubCo terms), the medium future doesn?t look good for the pub as the bridge between Whitchurch and Pangbourne is scheduled to close for up to 12 months in 2012 cutting the pub off from a large hinterland of custom on the southern bank of the Thames.
